US Army Ranger School
As a young lieutenant, I was lucky enough to make it through the rigors of the US Army Ranger School and earn the Ranger Tab during the winter of 1993 to 1994. 20 years later, from 2014 to 2016, I was fortunate to be selected to oversee Ranger School.
Will Bardenwerper, a Ranger School graduate and Iraq veteran, went back to Ranger School in 2019 and followed a class from start to finish. He did an an amazing job capturing the crucible of one Ranger School class for Outside Magazine:

His article gives some perspective on the grit and endurance needed to persevere through tough environments. As we lead our families, our teams, and our nation through the coronavirus crisis, Will reminds us that others have persevered through other, tough environments. Worth the 15 minute read.
